Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has confirmed the global launch date for the Redmi Note 13 line. The smartphones will receive an international version on January 4, 2024, confirming information circulating in recent rumors.
The information was made official by a poster published by the company on the Chinese social network Weibo, under the slogan “SuperPower, SuperNote”. Official sales in Brazil, however, do not yet have a start date — initially. It will only be possible to purchase the device through international trade websites.
The models were officially presented by Xiaomi in September this year and have been sold for around two months in China. However, upon global arrival, they will be some of the first new models on sale in the West in 2024.
The Redmi Note 13 family
Despite being part of the independent subsidiary most focused on cost-benefit, the Redmi line features quality technical specifications. It has three members: the Redmi Note 13, the Redmi Note 13 Pro, and the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. The devices were built in partnership with MediaTek, which is responsible for the family’s chips. They all support 5G. The standard Redmi 13 version has an OLED screen and a 5,000 mAh battery. In addition to being quite thin (7.6 mm thick). Its chip is the MediaTek Dimensity 6080.
The Pro model stands out for its battery with a greater energy storage capacity, of 5,100 mAh. Its processor is also different: the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, from Qualcomm. In terms of screen, both this device and the Pro+ have a standard 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen (1220 x 2712 pixels).
Finally, the Pro+ version runs on the Dimensity 7200-Ultra processor and also has a 200 MP resolution camera with a Samsung sensor and IP68 certification for resistance against water and dust particles.
